Implantology as a scientific field

Within the studies of dentistry it has not yet been possible to study implantology as a separate specialization in Slovak universities. Its postgradual studies are only at its beginnings and one may presume it will take some time until students interested in studying dental implantology are able to recieve satisfactory education in this field in Slovakia. However, there are quality institutions in the Czech Republic where one can gain very decent practical knowledge in modern implantology within postgradual studies.

The dental implantology specialization can be studied in neighboring Austria, Hungary, Poland or Ukraine as well as in France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom or in nordic countries such as Holland or Sweden. As a separate specialization implant dentistry can be studied also at many universities in the USA.
